Durbar Square, which means Royal Squares in English, is the generic name used to describe plazas and areas opposite the old royal palaces in Nepal. It consists of temples, idols, open courts, water fountains and more.
Dakshinkali Temple, located 21 kilometers (14 miles) outside Kathmandu and about 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) outside the village of Pharping, is one of the major hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to the goddess Kali. As a traditional beliefs animal sacrifices, particularly of cockerels and uncastrated male goats, are the main way that the goddess is worshipped, and this is especially seen during the Dashain festival.
Pokhara City is in the northwestern corner of Nepal, which is a widening of the Seti Gandaki valley that lies in the region (Pahad) of the Himalayas. In this region the mountains rise very quickly,and within 30 kilometres (19.2 miles), the elevation rises from 1,000 to 6,500 meters (3,300 to 21,600 feet).
Palpa District is also not far from Pokhara and easily reach out there by bus. The ancient hill town of Tansen, Palpa district offers a more tranquil atmosphere. We also walk down to observe the cobbled streets in the old bazaar to discover a way of life.
